Police

Masked burglars stole tobacco and cigarettes from a foodstore during an overnight raid.

It happened at Waitrose in Prospect Road, Hythe, at 3.05am on Thursday.

Police say two men broke into the shop and stole the goods from a kiosk at the front of the supermarket.

They were both wearing dark clothing and balaclavas and one was carrying a white bag.

Officers believe the offenders used motocross bikes to get away.

Police want to hear from anyone who may have seen the thieves or anyone with information about cigarettes being sold in pubs or on the street.

Anyone who can help should call Det Con Paris Cook from the Reactive Investigation Unit on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
