Ashford: Man airlifted to hospital after accident on A28 Chart Road

An 82-year-old pedestrian suffered serious head injuries after being hit by a car in Ashford.

He was airlifted to a London hospital following the collision, which happened shortly after 12.30pm on the A28 Chart Road.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are investigating the accident, which involved a blue Volkswagen Golf.

They are appealing for witnesses, including anyone who may have dashcam footage, to come forward.

The road was shut for several after the collision, which saw the air ambulance landed close to Geerings.
