A furry, four-legged resident has called for her pals’ owners to pick up their pets' poo.

Victoria Wuffington-Stuart, a King Charles Cavalier Spaniel from Hamstreet, passed on a message to the Kentish Express, submitted and written by her owner Luchia McGrory.

In the letter, she said: "Obviously I am not actually writing this as I do not have opposable thumbs and cannot hold a pen. I am dictating this to my human.

"There have been lots of Clean for the Queen events for Her Majesty’s 90th birthday all around the country which my cousins (the Corgis) have said is being greatly appreciated.

"But I have been told that there is one area that could do with attention all year round and it is a little delicate. It’s ‘doggy do-dos’."

Victoria Wuffington-Stuart’s letter then goes on to ask dog owners to clean up after their dogs.

She said: "We hate to have to ask but, no opposable thumbs again, or we would do it ourselves.

"It is sooooo embarrassing for it to be left in public, especially if it is belonging to some other dog and people think you have just done it. Humiliating.

"Seriously, the health issues alone should make you all want cleaner footways for your young, and did you know you can use any litter bin?

"A special dog bin is better, but not having one near is no excuse.

"So the new slogan is 'Clean for the Queen, but don’t dodge the doggy do-dos!' Lets all make HRH proud of us."
