Residents reported hearing the rumble of a police helicopter as it hovered over Ashford last night.

The chopper was brought in to help officers searching for a woman in her 60s who was reported missing at 8.30pm.

The helicopter crew helped officers on the ground, and the woman was later found at 11.40pm.
