Coronavirus Kent: Ashford police given a Yorkie bar for their efforts

Police in a Kent town were given a sweet reward for their efforts during the coronavirus pandemic.

Officers returned to their car after patrolling in Ashford to find Yorkie bars had been left on the windscreen.

A tweet sent later on the account @KentPoliceAsh said: "When you return to your vehicle and find a treat left by a very kind member of the public.

"It was a lovely surprise to return to and very much appreciated #kindness #communityspirit #ThanksAMillion"

It is not known who the donor is.

The operator of the Twitter account for Pickett's Car Valeting replied: "Awesome stuff hope it wasn’t melted in the nice weather we have been having."
