Magazine Road, Ashford blocked by police in search for missing crash driver

Police are continuing to hunt for a driver who fled the scene of a crash.

Magazine Road, off Canterbury Road in Ashford, was blocked off by police just after 8.30am.

Three cars collided in the incident.

A police spokesman said: "Three vehicles have been involved in a collision.

"Police were called by South East Coast Ambulance Service at 8.35am.

"The road has been closed to allow SECAmb to tend to casualties.

"Police are also searching for the driver of one of the vehicles involved who has fled the scene."

The crash involved a Ford Focus, a Ford KA and a Toyota Avensis.

No arrests have been made.

Enquiries are ongoing to locate the driver of the Ford KA.

The road re-opened at around 10am.
