Police probe Little Chart shooting incident

Police have appealed for witnesses after a man was shot and injured at a house in a quiet village last night.

A man in his 40s suffered non-life threatening injuries in what has been described as a “firearms incident” at a house in Little Chart Road near Ashford at 11.40pm on Friday.

Detectives believe a group up of to five people went to the property before the incident, and say a shotgun was fired.

The injured man was taken to hospital and was said to be in a stable condition.

Police also arrested a 40-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman on suspicion of being concerned in the supply a controlled drug.
