Police hunt prisoner Anthony Kingwell, linked to Ashford, after escape from Ford Prison in West Sussex

Police are hunting a burglar on the run from jail for nine days.

Anthony Kingwell, 39, fled Category D HMP Prison Ford in West Sussex while serving four years for burglary.

Sussex Police said he has ties to Ashford and was last seen at the open prison at 11am on Friday, March 5.

Kingwell is described as white, 5’ 8”, of slight build, clean shaven with green eyes and brown hair.

He also has links to Worthing in West Sussex, the force said.

Anyone who sees him is advised not to approach him, but should call 101 quoting serial 519 of 05/03.
