Drivers were urged to avoid a stretch of road near Ashford following a serious crash.

Emergency crews were called to the A251 Faversham Road at around 6.30am.

The collision happened between the junctions for Boughton Lees and Trinity Road.

One vehicle was involved and police remained at the scene until around 1pm when the road was reopened.
