A roundabout off the M20 was closed by police following a car fire.
Officers were called to the scene at Junction 10 of the M20 in Ashford at about 7.30am.
A police spokesman says officers decided to seal off the roundabout "to ensure the safety of other road-users" while firefighters tackled the flames.
The closure was later managed by Kent County Council's highways team.
KentOnline understands resurfacing work took place after the vehicle was recovered.
The roundabout has since been reopened.
