A rubbish tip has reopened following a fire.

The Ashford Household Waste Recycling Centre on Brunswick Road was closed over the weekend following the blaze, which started at 2.30pm on Saturday.

Crews put the fire out within an hour, but remained on-site through the weekend to dampen any hotspots.
