A cat best known for wandering around a popular shopping centre in Ashford has gone missing.

Sammy, who has black fur and no tail, is often spotted outside Asda or at the Ashford Designer Outlet.

But the animal, who has her own Facebook account, has not been seen in the area since Saturday September, 8.

Sammy has been missing for more than a week

Owner Joanne Henderson says her cat is very well known and people often refer to her as the Asda Outlet cat.

The Newtown resident said: "People are always posting on Facebook and letting me know that she is okay.

"She has a loving family but also loves to be down by Asda and the Outlet for attention.

"Asda called me the day after she went missing to let me know that her collar had been handed in, but we haven't seen her for over a week now.

"There have been no sightings of her at all and we just want her to come home."

If you spot Sammy, contact Joanne Henderson on 07545951498.
