A mum with only nine months to live is asking for anyone who has known her to get in touch.

Elizabeth Cooper was diagnosed with glioma - an aggressive brain tumour - in May and doctors gave her a life expectancy of six to nine months.

Due to underlying health problems, the 60-year-old, who lives in Ashford, has decided not to undergo chemotherapy.

Elizabeth Cooper is looking for family and old friends to reconnect

She has been transferred from Brabourne Care Centre to the Pilgrims Hospice after her condition declined over the weekend.

Now, she is hoping that friends and family that she has drifted away from will contact her, with her son Craig helping the effort.

Mrs Cooper - also known as Liz - has many Kent connections, having lived in a variety of places across the county throughout her life.

Her first home was in Woodchurch before she moved to Ashford after a few years.

She resided on Kither Road, Beaver Green, then Frittenden Close in Stanhope, before settling down at St Teresa's Close near the town centre.

A frequent visitor to Ashford's market, the widow also worked as a picker at the apple farm in Cranbrook.

Following her stint in the town she relocated to Aylesford and then to Rochester, where she took up homes in Esplanade and Princes Street.

Finally she found a place in Canterbury in 2014, shortly after the passing of her long-time husband Raymond in August 2013.

Elizabeth also believes she may have family and friends in the Folkestone and Romney Marsh.

Mrs Cooper celebrated her 60th birthday earlier this month.
