Witnesses are sought after 60 birds were allegedly stolen from an aviary in Canterbury Road, in Willesborough

Police are appealing for information after 60 birds were stolen from an aviary in Ashford.

It is reported that around 25 adult and 35 five-week-old caneries were taken from an aviary in Canterbury Road, Willesborough.

The incident took place between 10am on Monday, May 27, and 11am on Tuesday, May 28.

The canaries are described as yellow, green and grey and some of the adult birds had red rings on their feet with ‘C and S 12’ written on the rings.

Witnesses or anyone with information about this incident should contact PC Suzy Pickett at Kent Police by calling 101 and quoting ZY/14788/13.
