Folkestone Invicta v Hampton & Richmond

FOLKESTONE Invicta striker James Dryden is set to break the club's senior appearance record against Hampton & Richmond Borough at the Westbourne Stadium on Saturday.

Dryden equalled Paul Chambers' 223 starting appearances in Tuesday's 2-1 win over Dartford in the Kent Senior Cup and it was his last gasp winner that sent Invicta through.

He will claim the record outright at the age of just 24 if he takes his expected place in Saturday’s starting line-up.

Dryden made his full debut away to Burnham in December 1999 and has made a further 41 appearances as a substitute.

His next target will be Chambers' record of 88 senior goals. He is currently just five goals away from equalling that total.

Hampton are managed by former West Ham United and England midfielder Alan Devonshire and include Watford manager Ray Lewington's son Craig among their ranks.

They beat Folkestone 2-1 earlier in the season and are currently 6th in the Ryman Premier League table, but have won only one of their away league matches so far in this campaign.
