A suspect in a supermarket stabbing has been released on bail a day after the attack, while cordons still remain in place.
Police were seen checking and cordoning off bins yesterday, after a man was stabbed at Ashford's Asda branch on Kimberley Way.
A 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault following the incident, which took place at 6.25am.
The suspect has since been released on bail.
A large section of the car park was closed off yesterday morning, and customers have recounted seeing a blood-stained grey hoodie in the shop's entrance.
A spokesman for Asda said: "We are assisting the police with their inquiries following an incident that happened outside of our Ashford store this morning.
"The store remains open as normal and we would like to reassure customers that their safety is our top priority and thank our colleagues for their quick thinking and help with this matter."
Anyone who witnessed the assault or has information about it, and has not yet spoken to an officer, is urged to call Kent Police on 01843 222289 quoting 46/225922/19.
The man was the second stabbing victim to be hospitalised within a few hours, with the other taking place in Folkestone.
