Police are investigating an attempted theft of a cash point in the early hours of this morning.

Thieves targeted and damaged the ATM outside a newsagents in The Street, Hamstreet around 2.50am today.

A police spokesman said officers are looking at how it was damaged but it is not thought any cash has been taken.

Officers' enquiries are ongoing and police are still at the scene this morning.
