A woman has been treated for burns after her car crashed with a bus in Ashford this morning.

Fire crews were called to the scene on the A28 Canterbury Road at the junction with Heathfield Road at 11.20am.

The incident had caused huge tailbacks towards the town centre on North Street.

A fire service spokesman confirmed no people were trapped but that a woman, who was the driver of the car, suffered "very minor burns" to her hand.

She was treated by paramedics after receiving first aid from firefighters.

Radiator fluid spilled out on to the road

A team from the Environment Agency was also called following concerns that radiator fluid was leaking into a nearby drain.

Crews have made the area safe and no other injuries have been reported.
