Tributes have been paid to an Ashford father and loving husband who died suddenly.

Jason Pepper, who passed away aged 42 on Saturday, October 3, leaves behind wife Julie and children James, 18, Ryan, 16, and Chloe, 13.

Mr Pepper had worked at electronics stores Currys and PC World for many years, and was manager at the Ashford branch in Norman Road. He last worked at the store in Sevington.

The cause of his death is still unknown.

An announcement from his family, from Kennington, said he was "gone too soon".

It reads: "Jason Pepper, taken away so suddenly on Saturday, October 3, aged just 42.

"A loving husband to Julie and dad/daddy to James, Ryan and Chloe, a wonderful son and son in law, a thoughtful brother to Rachel and a friend to so many."

The family also wished to thank the paramedics who rushed to his aid.

It adds: "Heartfelt thanks to all ambulance crews who tried so very hard to keep him with us."

Following his death a colleague set up a Just Giving page online to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation (BHF).

The blurb states: "I’m sure you’re all very shocked by the sudden passing of Jason that took place on October 3.

"Jason’s wife Julie has requested only family flowers at Jason’s funeral but has requested if anyone would like to make a donation to please give to the British Heart Foundation.

"This is an excellent opportunity for friends and family to celebrate Jason’s life and for us to send messages to Jason’s loving wife Julie and his three fantastic children who he thought the world of.

"Please donate whatever you can to this fantastic charity, thank you in advance for all your support."

So far £75 has been collected of the £150 target.

Mr Pepper’s funeral will be held on Wednesday (October 21) at Charing Crematorium at 10.40am.

People are requested to wear an item of orange clothing on the day, in homage to his many t-shrts in the shade.

Family flowers only at the service, but any donations can be made to the BHF through the charity page or via Earl and Co Funeral Directors, in Albemarle Road, in Willesborough, Ashford.
