Two people have been arrested after a drugs bust saw Class A drugs seized in Ashford.

Officers from the Ashford Community Policing Team carried out the bust in the Bank Street area of town this morning.

Officers found cannabis and a quantity of white powder suspected to be cocaine.

Cash and phones that are believed to be linked to drug dealing were also discovered.

A 20-year-old woman from Ashford and a 33-year-old man from London were arrested on suspicion of possessing Class A and Class B drugs with intent to supply.

Both remain in custody while enquiries continue.
