Car and motorbike crash on A28 Ashford Road between Bethersden Road and Tithe Barn Lane

A busy road has reopened after a crash between a car and a motorbike in Ashford.

The A28 Ashford Road, in Great Chart, between Bethersden Road and Tithe Barn Lane was partially blocked in both directions after the collision.

Emergency services were called around 12.30pm and are at the scene.

One motorist described the queues as "chaos" but the road is now clear.

A Kent Ambulance service spokesman said a man in his 40s who was riding the motorcycle was treated at the scene of the crash before being taken to the William Harvey Hospital.

He had sustained injuries to his arms and legs, and other injuries to his body. There were no other reported injuries from the crash.
