A road was closed in both directions following a two-car crash.

Emergency services were called to the scene in Ashford following the incident in Knoll Lane, Singleton.

The road was shut to allow police and ambulance crews to attend to the incident.

The closure was in place between the junctions for Brookfield Road and Harvest Way.

The stretch reopened in both directions shortly after 11.30am.
