Two people were hurt in two separate road accidents within ten minutes of each other on the same road in Folkestone yesterday.

A cyclist was injured after a collision with a car on the A259 Sandgate Road in Folkestone at 5.20pm.

South East Coast Ambulance Service confirmed that the victim, in his 20s, suffered back and leg pain.

The teen was arrested yesterday.

He was taken by ambulance to the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford. The car driver ended up with a grazed head.

Five minutes later a man was hurt in a collision between a car and motorcycle on the A259 Seabrook Road, just east of Hythe.

Kent Police said that road closures were put in place and traffic diverted along the seafront while debris and spilt oil were cleared away.

One man was treated at the scene by paramedics for minor injuries and traffic was allowed through again at 7.10pm.
