A teenage boy and a woman have both been taken to hospital this afternoon following a smash involving three cars in Ashford.

Emergency services were called to Beaver Lane at 1.15pm today to a report that a car had collided with two other vehicles, one of which was parked.

Two people were hurt in the incident- a 14-year-old boy and a woman believed to be 60-years-old- and both were taken to the William Harvey Hospital.

South east coast ambulance spokesman Rich Airey said: "We were called to Beaver Lane at 1.15pm to a report of a RTC involving two cars and potentially two patients.

"We sent two ambulances for a woman, aged approximately 60, complaining of a neck injury and a 14-year-old boy who had a potential wrist injury.

"Both were assessed and treated at the scene before being taken to the William Harvery Hospital."
