Critically ill man taken to Kings College Hospital, London, after car crash in Wellesley Road, Ashford

A man was today still critically ill after a car crash.

The silver BMW collided in Wellesley Road, Ashford, at around 5.10pm on Easter Sunday, damaging a lamp post.

The Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance was called but the victim, a passenger, was taken to Kings College Hospital in London by road, accompanied by the helicopter's medics.

The teen was arrested yesterday.

He suffered serious head injuries and his condition was today described as critical was stable.

A second victim, the driver, was taken to the William Harvey Hospital. He was less seriously hurt.
