A motorway has been cleared after a van crashed into the central reservation.

The white van is believed to have hit the hard shoulder between junction 10 and 11 of the M20 shortly before 3.20pm.

Traffic on the Londonbound carriageway between Hythe and Ashford has now cleared and is flowing normally.

Police were called:. Stock image.

A flat bed lorry had stopped in the outside lane in order to protect the stricken vehicle from approaching traffic.

Police officers were at the scene and said debris from the van was spread across the carriageway and will need to be cleared.
