Vandals set three for sale signs alight outside houses.

It happened at Mill Court, Ashford, at 11.20 on Monday night.

The signs, each 100 yards apart, were destroyed but firefighters prevented the flames reaching any nearby property.

Jason Venes, firefighter at Ashford Fire Station, said: "One of the signs was close to garages but we stopped the fire spreading to them."

One pump from the Ashford station was called out.
