A woman was taken to hospital after a three-car crash.

The incident happened on A2070 Bad Munstereifel Road, Ashford, at 7.30am.

Police attended along with the ambulance service, and the casualty was taken to the William Harvey Hospital.

The road was closed while the incident was cleared and reopened at about 9.30am.

The area is subject to roadworks, which are expected to continue until December.

Contractors are removing the Orbital Park roundabout to replace it with traffic lights as part of the 'Bellamy Gurner' scheme.

There have been queues, causing long delays, on A2070 Bad Munstereifel Road because of lane closures.
