The swine flu virus

by Sarah Marshall

The number of schools in the area affected by swine flu is rising daily.

Brockhill Park School in Saltwood, Hythe has had one confirmed case and two other unconfirmed cases.

Three Ashford secondary schools and two primary schools have reported cases.
Ashford School, Highworth Grammar School and Christ Church School are all affected and Downs View and Godinton primaries have sent letters home to parents advising them of cases.
The schools have been advised by the Health Protection Agency to stay open as normal.
Health chiefs advise anyone who suspects they may have swine flu to check symptoms online by visiting www.nhs.uk or call the Swine Flu Information Line on 0800 1 513 513.
If still concerned, people should call their GP.

Is your child’s school affected. Please let us know about other cases by emailing kentishexpress@thekmgroup.co.uk
