Batman and Robin turned up for Folkestone’s Boxing Day Dip.
So did Vikings in a longboat, cowboys on inflatable horses and clowns.
And a tribute to boy band One Direction - all dressed in onesies - were also among those who braved the water for Folkestone's Boxing Day dip
Hundreds of people turned up at Sunny Sands at Folkestone to endure the freezing water.
Folkestone Mayor Roger West set off the starting gun and didn’t mind getting his robes wet as he let the waves lap around him.
The event was for various charity groups including Daisys Angels, set up by two Folkestone women Becca Law and Stacey Pageboth.
This charity is to help families whose members has spinal muscular atrophy (SMA), a rare neuromuscular condition.
It is named after a daughter of a friend of the pair who was diagnosed with the condition at the age of 10 months.
