Drivers who stopped to offer help to a seriously injured athlete following a collision in Ashford are being sought by investigating officers.
Lesley Hall, one of the UK's top racewalkers in her age bracket, suffered fractures when she was involved in a collision with a cyclist as she walked along Canterbury Road on February 18.
The 63-year-old was knocked into the path of oncoming traffic, at around 6pm, near the junction of Simone Weil Avenue.
Police say she was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries and are now hoping to speak to the cyclist to establish the circumstances of the collision.
A man and a woman travelling in a van, as well as a pedestrian walking nearby, stopped to offer help at the scene and officers would like to speak to them as they may have information which could assist inquiries.
Witnesses are asked to call Kent Police on 01843 222289 quoting 19-0440.
