Two men will take a bone-shaking 4,000-mile ride on old mini-motorbikes around Britain.
George Luckhurst and Aaron Thompson will next month set off on pizza delivery bikes, laden with camping gear and travelling at no more than 45mph.
The former Norton Knatchbull School, Ashford, pupils will travel the entire coast on Honda Cubs for a gruelling four weeks to raise £10,000 for the Demelza House children’s hospice.
Mr Luckhurst, 23, said: “There will be no high speed cruising on motorways.
“These are bikes used by pizza boys.
“We will have a top speed of around 45mph. It’s going to be slow, with the route estimated to be over 4,000 miles, the ride will take around 28 days to complete.”
Mr Luckhurst and Mr Thompson will leave on June 2 at 1pm from Folkestone Harbour, travelling the coast of mainland Britain and staying on roads closest to the sea.
The pair are looking for sponsorship and anyone who can help should contact Mr Luckhurst on 01227 730030.
