A person was hurt after allegedly being hit over the head with a bottle outside a nightclub.

Officers from the British Transport Police came across two fights outside Cameo in Ashford last night.

In a Tweet, a spokesman for the force said a person was reportedly hit over the head with a glass bottle causing injury.

They arrested one person on suspicion of affray.

Officers from Kent Police were also called to the club, which is close to Ashford train station.

Police have been contacted for comment.
