A man is being questioned by police following the "unexplained death" of a man in his 30s at a Kent shopping centre.
Emergency crews were called at 5.50pm yesterday to County Square in Ashford, where the man was tragically pronounced dead.
Security guards blocked off all entrances to the shopping centre, while four ambulances were parked outside.
A police spokesman said officers were initially called to reports of concern for a man's welfare.
But when they arrived a man in his 30s was confirmed as having died.
The spokesman added: "The death is currently being treated as unexplained.
"A 45-year-old man from Maidstone has been arrested in connection with the incident and remains in custody while officers work to establish the circumstances of the death."
An ambulance service spokesman said paramedics were initially called to treat a person "in need of medical attention".
They added: "Ambulance crews were joined at the scene by the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance Service.
"Sadly, despite the efforts of everyone involved, the person was pronounced dead at the scene."
