Rachel Hanagan jumped 10.57m off a short run to take bronze in the triple jump

Rachel Hanagan took bronze for Ashford AC at the South of England Indoor Championships at the Lee Valley Centre in Middlesex.

She finished third in the under-20 women’s triple jump with an effort of 10.57m off a short run-up.

Her sister, Laura, finished fifth in the under-17 triple jump with 9.72m, also off a short approach.

Caitlin Dock made the under-17 women’s 60m semi-finals, running a personal best time of 8.6sec and performed well in her heat of 200m with 29.04.

Abbie Purkis reached the under-15 60m semi-finals in 8.63 and ran well in the 200m with 28.69.

Stevie Walder set a indoor personal best time of 25.52 in the 200m and clocked 7.8 seconds in his under-17 60m heat.

Sam Beckett made the under-20 women’s 200m semi-final with an indoor personal best of 27.5 and ran another pb of 8.37 in her 60m heat.
