Ashford Town’s resurgence continued with a nine-wicket mauling of local rivals Tenterden which took them into the top half of Shepherd Neame Kent League Division 1 for the first time this season.
Timir Chanda (pictured) cracked an unbeaten 59 as the visitors were restricted to 179-7 before the returning Matt Lincoln hammered 77 not out and Liam Tegg struck six sixes in his 68 that contributed to a century opening stand.
The home side cruised to victory with more than 10 overs left to go fifth just 14 points off second, while Tenterden are now just a place and two points above the relegation zone.
Folkestone registered a six-wicket win at Orpington which catapulted them out of the Division 1 drop zone.
