Steve Lovell is vowing not to walk away from troubled Ashford Town.
He revealed he spoke to both joint-owners Don Crosbie and Tony Betteridge this week, whose ongoing differences continue to put a question mark over the future of the club.
Boss Lovell (pictured) said: "I want to stay and finish the job I came here to do.
"I think I owe it to my players and the supporters to do that."
It’s understood the Football Association and Ryman League are monitoring developments closely, with the club facing mounting financial problems involving outstanding payments to players and the Inland Revenue.
Lovell added: "I spoke to Don last Friday and chatted with Tony at the weekend but nothing has really changed.
"In fact I am no clearer about the situation than I was two months ago. It’s two different people saying they want
things to happen and
I am listening to both
sides but not taking sides.
"I don’t know if there are hidden agendas but I hope they can reach a compromise and settle their differences."
Lovell also confirmed that he has never had any contact with former England striker Ian Wright who holds the title of Director of Football Strategy.
