Ashford United will be "full speed ahead" after this weekend once their fate is revealed.
Club owner Tony Betteridge is keen to get hear where the newly-formed club will be playing their football next season, whether it be in the Kent League or the new Step 6 division below, so the club can start moving forward.
An announcement from the Football Association on which division they must start in is expected on Friday.
Mr Betteridge (pictured) said: "We are hoping for the Kent League for the sake of our fans.
"But if we are put in level six then we will be part of history as we will be joining the new league with a new club.
"If we can then win it we will be remembered in history."
While the decision on their status for next season is made everything has been on hold, including the all-important signing of players.
"After the weekend we will be full steam ahead," said Mr Betteridge.
"Our management team can’t do anything until we know what league we are playing in.
"We are almost there and all of the way through this we have been very positive and next season is going to be fantastic."
