Ashford United are "excited" about being accepted into next season’s FA Vase competition.
Homelands chief executive Paul Bowden-Brown (pictured) said: "It is an exciting thing. I was asked to find out from the FA what we could and couldn’t do and I was told we could apply for the Vase.
"It will be a great start to the season, having a national trophy competition being played at Ashford."
He added: "It is important to let people out there know that football is back in Ashford and to get Ashford United’s name out there."
