Tyler Clarkson was nominated by his soon-to-be mother in law, Mandy Moon.

She said: "Tyler is an amazing young man who lost his mum five years ago. Every year, he raised money for many local charities and individual sick children. He has also raised money for Help for Heroes. He does this by running fishing competitions at his Ashford fishing lake.

"He has raised thousands of pounds for everyone else and although Tyler and my daughter, Kellie struggle as a young family, they still always think of others first.

"He is a lovely guy with a big heart and we can't wait for him to become part of our family in April."

The 28-year-old received the call at 6pm this evening and was quite understandably, very surprised.

Tyler was brought to tears after Mandy's kind words were read out to him. He said: "Christmas can be very hard because it was a special time for my mum.

"I'm quite emotional. Fishing is a massive part of my life and I just like to see everyone do well."

In April, Tyler will be marrying his fiancée, Kellie.

With thanks to both Mandy and McArthurGlen Ashford Designer Outlet, Tyler was given gift card for £300 so he can treat himself to a new suit to wear on his wedding day.

Tyler added: "That'll be really, really nice. That'll be amazing. Thank you so much.
