A banned driver escaped unharmed after his car came off the motorway and crashed down an embankment.

Kent Police were called to the crash on the M20 London bound between junction 8 and 9 near Charing just after 12.30pm on Thursday September 8.

Kent Police RPU tweeted from the scene: “@kentpoliceroads: M20 Charing - rtc vehicle has no insurance and checks showed driver is disqualified.”

Officers interviewed the man at the scene, and a Kent Police spokeman said officers are investigating but no arrest has been made.
