More than 200 sites across the borough have been put forward by landowners as locationswhere housing and other development could be built from 2015 onwards.
Ashford Borough Council had a “call for sites” at the end of last year, asking people to give details of land that was available for development, either for housing, employment use, gypsy and traveller sites, leisure and retail buildings or visitor and tourism facilities.
The council is now in the process of assessing each site to decide which ones are suitable for development and the areas of land selected will be included in the Local Plan to 2030.
The plan will be in place by the end of 2015 and will set out how the Ashford borough will grow over the following 15 years.
