Biker airlifted to hospital

A motorcyclist was airlifted to hospital on Sunday after his bike was in collision with a car on a busy road.

The incident happened at a junction of the A28 and Old Surrenden Manor Road near Bethersden just after 3.30pm.

The Kent Air Ambulance landed in a field adjoining the road and the driver of the motorbike was flown to Maidstone Hospital with shoulder and possible chest injuries, which were not considered life threatening.
Investigators have asked anyone who saw the crash to call them on 01303 289180.
