POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist was killed in an accident on Sunday morning.

The 27-year-old man, who not yet been named, was riding a Kowasaki motorcycle when the incident occured at about 11am on the Lydd Road at Camber, near Rye, in East Sussex.

A Ford Galaxy was also involved, the driver of which sustained minor injuries. The dead man was from Ashford.

Police from Kent were first on the scene, joined by colleagues from East Sussex soon afterwards.
