Fire crews were called to a bin fire in Wye last night.

Two engines were sent to Bridge Street just after 11pm to tackle a fire involving a rubbish bin outside a property.

Firefighters used a hose reel to put out the fire, which destroyed the bin, and a thermal imaging camera to check the fire had not spread to the exterior of the property.

There were no injuries.

The cause is not yet known.
