A broken down lorry caused traffic chaos in Ashford this evening.

The A2070 Bad Munstereifel Road was closed southbound from junction 10 of the M20 to the A2042 following the breakdown.

There were long delays on both London-bound and coast-bound approach to the junction as a result.

Highways officials said delays cleared at around 5.25pm.
