A driver was taken to hospital after her car left the road and rolled into a ditch.

Police were called to Chilmington Green Road in Ashford at just before 9am today.

Ambulance crews from South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) attended the scene and assessed and treated the woman.

She was not thought to have suffered serious injury at time but due to the nature of the incident was taken into William Harvey Hospital as a priority.

Kent Police took Twitter to advise people to take care on country roads.
