A car was destroyed in a fire while on the M20.
Fire crews attended a London bound carriageway near junction 10 for Ashford yesterday afternoon.
Two fire engines were sent and crews put out the blaze in just under half an hour. No injuries were reported.
British Transport Police (BTP) were at the scene before fire crews and created a road block in to protect them before their arrival.
“We then reopened lanes two and three after Kent Fire and Rescue Service (KFRS) had extinguished the fire,” BTP tweeted.
“We then awaited the arrival of National Highways who took over the road closure.
“We then gave the driver, who was uninjured a lift back to station and arranged for her onward journey home.”
