Man rescued after car overturns in Biddenden garden

A 46-year-old man was arrested for drink driving after he overturned his car and became stuck in a Biddenden garden last night.

The vehicle flipped over when it was involved in a smash in Sissinghurst Road at about 7.20pm.

Two crews from Kent Fire and Rescue Service were called to the scene along with South East Coast Ambulance Service paramedics.

Firefighters helped ambulance staff release the man from the car before leaving the scene at about 7.45pm.

The man, who lives in the village, was not taken to hospital.

He has been bailed until Thursday, November 7 while police enquiries continue.
