A town centre car park is to close for another month - although it is not known when.

Ashford Borough Council is waiting for the landlord’s approval before asking the appointed contractor to return to the Edinburgh Road multi-storey.

The car park was closed last on October 20, 2008 and was due to re-open on November 7, in time for Christmas shoppers to use it, but the discovery of a crack in the ramp support caused a delay.

A temporary solution of supporting the ramp with scaffold was made and the car park re-opened on December 19 last year.
